Interview with the CEO of CDL

We are delighted to share with you this short interview with the CEO of the Cellular Distribution Ltd Group of Companies, Mr Peter Bernard Lewis.

Tell me about yourself.

Hello, I am from the UK originally although I now live on the paradise island of Mauritius. I have been married for 30 years and have 3 children. I’m passionate about football and have followed Manchester City my entire life. I’m impassioned by the thought of building a business based entirely on quality of service and quality of product.

1. What is CDL and how did you decide to create this company.

CDL or Cellular Distribution Limited, are at the forefront of the circular economy. By building a truly global business we can harness different skill sets and opportunities to supply our trade clients with the very best quality stock available. After many years in business, I wanted to create something that was sustainable and would in some small way help the environment.

2. How would you describe the company culture at CDL?

We are a modern thinking company who has continued to grow throughout the pandemic. I like to think we are reactive to market changes and nimble enough to take advantage of opportunities. Our culture is driven by our amazing team, they work incredibly hard to ensure CDL is the best it can be every working day.

3. What are mission, vision and values of the company?

To provide the very best quality product in the market place. We believe we can set the standard for quality in our industry and that CDL can become the benchmark others must follow.

4. Anything about our vision or mission statement that sticks out to you?

I think the most difficult challenge we face is to try to ensure our standards of quality are repeated throughout the industry.

5. Where do you see the company expanding in the next few years?

The future is incredibly exciting. We are continuing to grow exponentially and I’m sure that will continue. I would like to see us in the future enter even more markets globally and to apply our same ethos of quality and service to a more diverse product range.

6. What upcoming initiatives do you find particularly exciting?

We have some exciting developments that we are working on right now. We would like more companies to be able to benefit from ordering our quality products. To this end we have some exciting new ways to reach out to clients coming early next year.

7. What do you feel is the biggest strength of our company right now?

I think a good reputation is vital in business. CDL benefit from a great reputation in the areas that matter most to us, namely quality and service.

8. Any message to your customers and potential customers?

Yes the message is simple, if you are already in the used or refurbished smartphone business, give us a call. Let us show you how our commitment to quality works in reality. Let us show you the difference CDL products can make to your clients, to your return rates and directly to your bottom line. I think we sell a great product at a great price and long may that continue.
